Action Center
Your personalized home page showing what needs attention today.
Last updated
The Action Center is your home page in Mistvine. It shows a prioritized list of action items across all your responsibilities, so you always know what to focus on next.
How It Works
When you log in, you land on your Home page with the Action Center - a collection of cards organized by category. Each card shows items that need your attention, sorted by urgency.
Smart Ordering
Cards automatically sort themselves:
- Cards with pending items appear first - Most urgent at the top
- Within each category, items are sorted by priority (High → Medium → Low)
- Empty cards appear last - Showing "All caught up!" messages
This means your home page adapts to what matters most right now.
Action Card Categories
Wave Items
Items related to your team's objectives during active waves.
| Action Type | Who Sees It | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Missing objectives | Team leads | High |
| Stale objectives | Team members | High (14+ days) or Medium |
| Missing sentiment | Team members | Medium |
| Weekly status due | Team leads | Medium |
Stale objectives are objectives that haven't been updated in 7+ days. The system reminds you to update progress so everyone has visibility.
Missing sentiment prompts you to vote on how objectives are feeling (Red/Amber/Green). Your vote is anonymous.
1:1 Topics
Discussion items for your manager meetings.
| Action Type | Who Sees It | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Empty topics | Direct reports | Medium |
| Stale topics | Direct reports | Medium (14+ days) or Low |
Empty topics have been created but lack descriptions. Adding context helps make 1:1 conversations more productive.
Stale topics haven't been updated in 5+ days. Consider whether they're still relevant or need an update.
Feedback Reviews
Peer reviews awaiting your submission.
| Action Type | Who Sees It | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Overdue reviews | Reviewers | High (60+ days) or Medium |
| Never reviewed | Reviewers | Low |
Your organization sets a reminder frequency (default: 30 days). Reviews become overdue when they exceed this threshold.
Never reviewed surfaces team members you haven't provided feedback for yet. This helps ensure everyone receives feedback.
Team Health
Team health assessments to complete.
| Action Type | Who Sees It | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Overdue assessment | Team members | High (60+ days) or Medium |
| Never assessed | Team members | Medium |
Team health assessments capture how your team is doing across ten evidence-backed dimensions (collaboration, clarity, communication, wellbeing, velocity, learning, safety, autonomy, purpose, accountability).
Individual OKRs
Your personal objectives that need attention.
| Action Type | Who Sees It | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Stale OKRs | OKR owner | High (14+ days) or Medium |
Personal objectives become stale when neither the objective nor any key result has been updated in 5+ days. Regular updates keep your progress visible.
Practice Assessments
For practice leads and managers reviewing direct reports.
| Action Type | Who Sees It | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Self-assessment pending | Managers | Medium |
| Recommendation pending | Practice leads | Medium |
Self-assessment pending means a direct report has submitted their self-assessment and is awaiting your review.
Recommendation pending means a manager has submitted a recommendation that needs practice lead approval.
Priority Levels
Each action item has a priority level that determines its position within a card:
| Priority | Visual Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| High | Red accent | Requires immediate attention |
| Medium | Orange accent | Should be addressed soon |
| Low | Gray accent | Lower urgency, but still pending |
What Determines Priority
Priority is calculated automatically based on:
- Time elapsed - Items become higher priority as they age
- Frequency thresholds - Organization settings define what's "overdue"
- Item type - Some items (like missing objectives for team leads) are always high priority

Understanding "All Caught Up"
When a card shows "All caught up!" it means:
- You have no pending items in that category
- The system has checked all relevant areas for you
- You can focus on other categories
Cards with no items automatically move to the bottom of the Action Center.
Multi-Wave Support
Mistvine supports multiple active waves. Your Action Center shows action items across up to 3 concurrent waves, with wave context included so you know which wave each item belongs to.
Refresh Behavior
Action Center data is fetched fresh on each page load. Items are checked in parallel across all categories for fast loading.
